WordPress Development
WordPress sites built on a customised theme or child theme, with custom blocks, configured plugins and an editor your team can manage.
Custom quote after a short consultation · Timeline agreed in your quote
Overview
WordPress Development is for clients who want their site on WordPress specifically, either because they already use it or because they want its editor, plugin options and familiar admin area. We set up and customise an existing theme or, in the Advanced package, build a custom child theme so your design changes survive theme updates.
Beyond page building, the work focuses on how WordPress is put together: custom blocks and page templates your editors can reuse, carefully chosen plugins configured for forms, SEO and performance, and speed optimisation suited to your package. We keep the plugin list lean to reduce maintenance and conflicts.
You receive a site of up to 15 pages, an SEO plugin configured with sensible defaults and, from the Professional package, an editor training video. Custom plugin development and premium licences sit outside the packages, and WooCommerce set-up is available as an add-on.

How we work
Review needs and current site
We review your existing WordPress set-up if you have one and agree the page list, theme approach and plugin requirements.
Configure theme and plugins
We install or customise the theme, create the child theme where included and configure the agreed plugins.
Build blocks and pages
We create custom blocks and templates, build the pages and apply speed optimisation suited to your package.
Train and hand over
We test the site, record the editor training video where included and hand over admin access and notes.
What we need from you
- Admin access to your existing WordPress site and hosting, if you have them
- Page content, images and brand assets
- Any premium theme or plugin licences you want used
- A list of the features your editors need to manage
How pricing works

WordPress Development: common questions
How is WordPress development priced?
Each package is a fixed price for a defined number of pages, blocks and plugins, so you can compare the packages above and book directly. Extra pages and WooCommerce set-up are available as add-ons. Premium theme and plugin licences are paid by you.
What if I need more blocks or plugins than my package includes?
Each package includes revision rounds for adjustments within the agreed scope. Additional pages are an add-on; extra blocks, plugins or features beyond the package are confirmed in a short quote before work starts.
Can you build a custom plugin for my site?
Custom plugin development is not part of these packages. If your requirement cannot be met with a configured existing plugin or a custom block, we scope the plugin separately and provide a custom quote.
How is this different from Website Design & Development?
Website Design & Development is a design-led service for a complete business website. WordPress Development focuses on the platform itself: theme and child-theme work, custom blocks, plugin configuration and an editing set-up your team can manage.
Can you work on my existing WordPress site?
Yes. We can customise your current theme, rebuild pages, reconfigure plugins or introduce a child theme. We review the site first so the package and any clean-up needed are clear before work begins.
