IoT Solutions

Connected sensor systems at prototype and pilot scale, linking ESP32 and Arduino devices to data storage, dashboards and alerts.

Custom quote after a short consultation · Timeline agreed in your quote

Scope: Prototype and pilot-scale IoT work. We do not offer production PCB design, manufacturing or certified production hardware engineering.

Overview

IoT Solutions covers the whole connected system rather than a single board: a group of sensing devices, how their readings travel over Wi-Fi or another network, where the data is stored, and how people see it through dashboards and alerts. Typical uses include environmental or equipment monitoring, energy-metering trials and remote status checks. If you only need firmware for one device, our Arduino, ESP32 & Embedded Prototyping service is the better fit.

Because every system depends on its devices, connectivity and data platform, there are no fixed packages. After a consultation we propose an architecture, typically ESP32 or Arduino nodes, a data pipeline built with Python and SQL, optional Docker deployment and a Power BI or web dashboard, and price it as a custom quote.

Work is delivered at prototype and pilot scale: enough devices to prove the concept in real conditions. We do not offer production PCB design, manufacturing or certified production hardware engineering.

Who it’s for

  • Facilities and operations teams trialling remote monitoring of rooms, equipment or utilities
  • Agricultural and environmental projects that need field readings collected automatically
  • Product companies validating a connected-device idea with a small pilot group
  • Research groups needing a sensor network to gather data over an extended period

Problems it solves

  • See live and historical sensor readings without visiting each location
  • Get alerted when a reading crosses a threshold that matters to you
  • Prove a connected-product concept in real conditions before investing in production
  • Keep sensor data stored in a structured form, ready for analysis

What RF ETS delivers

  • System architecture covering devices, connectivity, storage and dashboards
  • ESP32 or Arduino node firmware for reading and sending sensor data
  • Data ingestion and storage set-up built with Python and SQL as appropriate
  • Dashboard and threshold alerts for the pilot
  • Deployment and maintenance notes for the pilot system

How we work

  1. Consultation and site needs

We discuss what you want to measure, where devices will sit, power and network availability, and who needs the data.

  2. Architecture and custom quote

We propose devices, data flow, storage and dashboard, and set out scope and price in a written quote.

  3. Bench prototype

Firmware, data pipeline and dashboard are built and tested end to end on a small bench set-up.

  4. Pilot and handover

You install the pilot devices with our remote guidance, we tune the system and hand over documentation.

What we need from you

  • The measurements, locations and reporting needs for the pilot
  • Details of power and network connectivity at each site
  • Pilot devices and sensors bought by you, plus access to your chosen hosting or cloud account
  • A contact who can install devices on site and report back
Pricing

How pricing works

This work varies too much for fixed packages. We scope it with you, then send a written quote with price, timeline and deliverables before any work starts.

  1. Tell us what you need

Use the quote form or book a consultation and describe your goal, constraints and deadline.

  2. We scope it with you

We review your material and agree deliverables, assumptions and what is out of scope.

  3. Written quote

You receive a fixed price or milestone plan, timeline and revision terms before any work starts.

Not included

  • Third-party costs: domains, hosting, paid plugins and themes, software licences, API or AI-model usage fees, data-provider credits
  • Work outside the written scope agreed before work starts (handled as an add-on or a custom quote)
  • Ongoing support after the delivery and launch-support window unless a support package is bought

FAQ

IoT Solutions: common questions

How is IoT work priced?

IoT projects are quoted individually because cost depends on the number and type of devices, the connectivity and the data platform. After a consultation we send a custom quote setting out scope, deliverables and timeline. Hardware, connectivity and cloud fees are paid separately.

Can you take the pilot into mass production?

No. Our IoT work is prototype and pilot scale. We do not offer production PCB design, manufacturing or certified production hardware engineering. The pilot gives you tested firmware, data flow and requirements to hand to a production hardware partner.

What if the pilot needs more devices or features?

Changes within the quoted scope are covered by the agreed revision rounds. Additional device types, sites or dashboard features are scoped as a change to the quote and approved by you before we build them.

How is this different from Arduino, ESP32 & Embedded Prototyping?

That service delivers firmware for a single device. IoT Solutions designs the system around several devices: how data is sent, stored, displayed and acted on. Many clients start with one device prototype and move to an IoT pilot afterwards.

Which cloud or data platform do you use?

We recommend an option based on your existing systems, budget and data needs. It can be a cloud service you already use or a small server running Docker. The choice is agreed in the quote before any build starts.
